Renmin University of China, School of Economics

Inaugurated in the year of 1998, School of Economics at Renmin University of China (RUC) was a vibrant collection of the Department of Economics, the Department of International Economics and the Institute of Economic Research. The history of the school could be traced back to 1946, when the North-China United University, the predecessor of RUC, set up the Department of Finance and Economics, which was renamed as the Department of Economics in 1946.

School of Economics is recognized throughout the country for pioneering the advancement and development of theoretical economics in China. With an invaluable faculty body, which is dynamic and diverse, School of Economics has always been an important base for economic teaching and research in the country.

School of Economics aims to establish itself as a first-class economics institute worldwide. The school will be striving towards this goal with our consistent and committed efforts to attract and retain exceptional faculty, to maintain high teaching and research quality, so that well-educated talents will be produced to meet the needs of the society.

The School of Economics at Renmin University of China, one of the top economics programs in China, is now inviting job applicants in all fields of economics at all ranks (assistant/associate/full professor). Junior candidates must have a PhD by August 2025 and provide evidence of promising research. Senior candidates must have a PhD and strong research record.

This salary is competitive and at the same level with top schools of economics in China. The School of Economics provides a competitive compensation package, along with other benefits.
